Parsing contradictions are the only way gunners can try justify their positions.

Cognitive dissonance
”A person who experiences internal inconsistency tends to become psychologically uncomfortable and is motivated to reduce the cognitive dissonance. They tend to make changes to justify the stressful behavior, either by adding new parts to the cognition causing the psychological dissonance (rationalization) or by avoiding circumstances and contradictory information likely to increase the magnitude of the cognitive dissonance (confirmation bias).”

“…some people would inevitably resolve the dissonance by blindly believing whatever they wanted to believe.

So which one is it?

To be fair, the points are not mutually exclusive, nor need they be contradictory.

If P45* somehow topped himself, I'd find no joy in that.

Obviously many of you would rub your hands with glee and dance a jig or two.

I find that a little disturbing, but since finding joy in the demise of some is no doubt a sentiment shared by many, it must be both the 'norm' and acceptable.

As to responding to troll posts, 'Don't feed the troll' has been oft said, yet...

Proudly declaring that one 'won't respond' instead of actually not responding says more about the respondent than the troll, and it's in no way flattering.

The longer this goes on, it becomes more obvious the left leaners of the MRFers are acting more and more like right wingers they disparage.

I guess 'do as I say not as I do' works for both sides.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Gotta be sick in the mind to be happy someone killed themselves.

20,000++ people every ear give you people something to cheer about

If anyone decides to go out and murder a group of innocent people, always confirm your firearm is working optimally but testing it on your own head first.

Not happy about either scenario. Criminal murder and suicide are both issues. While our leaders ignore mental disease and tel the gullible that it's the fault of the AR-15 human killing device

Re: A Happy Gun-Nut story - pdq - 11-01-2023

Why do we need to have AR-15 human killing devices so easily available?
