Matt Damon Named Sexiest Man Alive

Matt Damon: Oscar winner, father and international spy portrayer. No wonder he's turned the heads of the folks at People magazine.
The celebrity mag has named "The Bourne Ultimatum" star its "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2007. He follows in the footsteps of such cinema and testosterone greats as George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey and Jude Law.
"George Clooney and Brad Pitt have shamelessly campaigned for him since 2001, but all it takes is one look at Damon's piercing blue eyes, crooked smile and family-guy demeanor to understand why he has been chosen," said the magazine in a statement.
The actor's humility further cemented his place on the most-desired male list.
"You gave an aging suburban dad the ego boost of a lifetime. My 9-year-old stepdaughter now thinks I'm cool -- well, cooler," Damon wrote in a letter to People. "At the risk of being forward, if you asked me (which you didn't) I would suggest Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for this award. He's like a taller, better-looking version of me anyway. Plus, he's the best quarterback in the history of football."
The magazine also dubbed the following celebrities sexy: McDreamy himself, "Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey; Ryan Reynolds; the ever-present Brad Pitt; Scottish actor James McAvoy ("Becoming Jane," "Atonement"); Captain Jack, err, Johnny Depp; "Brothers & Sisters" sibling Dave Annable; Fresh Prince Will Smith; the sultry Javier Bardem ("No Country for Old Men," "Love in the Time of Cholera"); "Criminal Minds" star Shemar Moore; Damon's Oscar partner Ben Affleck; "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier; "Bionic Woman" actor Will Yun Lee; and "SexyBack" singer Justin Timberlake.

I saw Damon on Actor's Studio. I like him. His whole family was in the audience.
I think he is cute, in a real guy sort of way.
