Way OT: Remove Drawers From 1961 Toolbox

My mom bought my granddad a toolbox in 1961, she thinks it's a Snap On, but can't be sure. She said that she bought it off a truck at a dealer and they delivered it.

It didn't get the best care as he aged. I'd like to restore it, and to do so I need to pull the drawers out of it. Having zero luck with a bunch of different feeler gauge style tools that my mechanic friend says "might work".

Looking around at some of the automotive forums doesn't seem to net much info. Anyone know of a vintage toolbox 'know-it-all' site?

TIA

Could be a SnapOn, Matco, Waterloo or many others sold off the truck.

Best place to find info is at The Garage Journal

Check out their forums. There is a big group of guys that restore vintage tool boxes,
vintage vices, hydraulic jacks, tools and more.
They can help you figure out how it comes apart and how to best restore it.

Look for a spring clip on the outside of the drawer rails.
