Need a nice 24" IPS monitor for $250-$350. Any suggestions?

The Dell 24" U2410 is the gold standard, but at $500, it's out of the price range. Wanting something that has reasonably accurate color and viewing angle, decent warranty is a plus. DVI input is the only one I need, but other options are fine: Minidisplayport, Video inputs, integrated card reader, VGA, etc.

I'm just digging in to research, but wanted to see if you folks have any general or specific recommendations in this price range for this feature set. Not in a huge rush, but would like to pull the trigger in the next week or so if a good option is available and the price is right.

okay, so maybe I should adjust my expectations!

Maybe I should have asked "What's the best 24" monitor I can get for $250-$350?"

Look at ebay for a refurb. There are two up there right now. I bought my 30" Dell as a refurb from eBay and I couldn't be happier with it.

Craigslist and ebay are good ideas. Some choices there. Probably refurb.

Not sure if the ebay route is a viable option (I know it's easy, but this is for a business purchase, so things are always more complicated), but I'll look into it.

Looking on the Dell site at refurbs/outlet, a few other options came into view:

U2311H -- 23", but an IPS display...
P2411H -- 24", doesn't look like an IPS

any thoughts on either of those models?

[www.memory4less.com] claims to have the HP LP2475W for $277. That's cheap, maybe too cheap, might be a listing error, or maybe a refurb. Sometimes it's available for $350ish, but at the moment, nowhere else under $450.

They're OK, but they're only a couple of miles from FIL's house so we have local access... not sure how they treat non-locals, but would hope the same.

Here's an ASUS ML249H 24" MVA 8-bit color from Newegg for $230 - not quite as good as S-IPS, but viewing angle is 178/178.

If you're willing to go down an inch to stay in your price range then why not the U2311H?
