Great Service from Synology and Logitech

I just wanted to give kudos to two companies who came through for me lately.

We got hit by lightning a few weeks ago and lost a ton of equipment. Insurance covered everything with no issues thankfully so I got all new gear. I reached out to Synology to see if they had a repair program for my DS409+ since all that seemed wrong was the network port wasn't working. They were quick to respond, but unfortunately they do not offer a repair service. They were kind enough to offer me a refurb unit though for a about $150 less than what they sell the refurbs for. They were very empathetic and I really appreciated it.

I also lost a Harmony One remote during this storm. The remote itself worked, but the charging cradles power adapter was toast. The remote was about 3 weeks out of warranty. Logitech asked me a few questions and offered to send me a new power adapter free of charge (shipping included). This is the second time Logitech has come through for me.

Its very reassuring to see that there are companies out there that value their customers.
