What a night for baseball! (no spoilers)

Wildcards tied on the last day, and 2 of the 4 are in extra innings! You couldn't script it any more dramatic than this!

Same as last year I'm sure. MLB is money hungry. I think if you paid for mlb.com access you should get it ALL. I mean come on, if I were to get their web access I have to buy it again for my iPad - and my iPhone? SERIOUSLY, what kind of double or triple jeopardy is this smiling smiley One fee = full access for your account on any of your devices. That's just the way I feel about it...

I had their .com access for audio (this predates the iPhone app) and it was awesome. You could listen to whatever game you wanted - YEAR ROUND. I really enjoyed listening to all the night games after the season ended in order that I had not heard - very cool. You can't do that on the iPhone app that's for sure. sad smiley

Double Crap but even if the Sox had survived, it'd have been three and out.

You might be able to find some games online here. I have been watching NFL games so far. ~!~

To my recollection the season always has ended on a Sunday. What's up with a Wednesday end? An unwillingness to go up against the NFL?

That and a marketing decision to start on a Friday when the other sport competition on TV is the least appealing, some minor college games and poker with the stars or some such.

To paraphrase a well-worn military saying, baseball is can be described as months of boredom interspersed with periods of sheer excitement.

Yep, awesome night for baseball. Really enjoyed watching the AL games on my Apple TV.

Nate Silver has a great analysis of what transpired last night from a statistical perspective:
