Summer over? Maybe by the calendar, but not around here. Check out this week's forecast in St. Helen MI:

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.

Tuesday Night: Clear, with a low around 41. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 68. Calm wind becoming east between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42. East wind around 5 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49.

Hey DP, head up to your cottage this week. We northerners are WAAAY ahead of you downstaters as far as Autumn colors! Everything is turning, and I already have one maple that is completely bare of leaves.

In Alabama, the appearance of Red Spider Lilies in lawns means that summer is officially over. It happened about a week ago.

It felt like we already had winter or at least fall in Michigan in September. Coldest September I can recall. I like it cool but that was too much. I'm glad we're getting a warmup.
