How to reheat dry chicken breasts to add moistness?
Posted by: Dennis S

I have a couple of very flavorful smoked chicken breasts leftover from Thanksgiving, but they are pretty dry. What's a good way to reheat them to keep the flavor and add some moistness?

Eat them with something full of moisture. Like applesauce.

Put a few drops of water on them, wrap in a paper towel, and microwave as little as possible. Or do the standard fix for dry fowl and add gravy.

OK. I'm braising them in chicken stock with a lid on. I poked holes in the tops and basted them with butter. I'm going to add onions and make a sauce/gravy. It's got to be pretty good.

Next time make some slices in the breasts, then soak the them in water and Sesame Oil for at least 2 hours. Follow this by freezing the breasts in the same solution. When you are ready to reheat them start
while the breasts are still frozen. This should add moisture and flavor. pirate smiley

Get out the chicken.
Pour a glass of your favorite liquor.
Throw the chicken away.
Drink the liquor.

Don't reheat them. Use them to make a chicken salad.
