Unstructured poll:

1) How many times do you have to reload this page before you see a banner ad for "new" 20 and 24-inch iMacs starting at $1199?

2) How often do you actually view the above page?

1. Saw the ad as soon as I clicked on the link. So "0" for number of refreshes.
2. "0" for number of times I go to that page, as well. I'm not in the market for anything that is being mentioned there.

I go through stages. If I am shopping for something, I go there frequently. If not, long stretches of time can pass.

• I also use AdBlock and don't see the ads.

• Infrequently -- only when I'm looking for a specific deal.

Sorry, Larry. I happily buy from OWC (and steer clients there), but I run adblock as well.

5-6 times a week, just to see what the deals are.

I never visit that page.

Not specifically ad-blocking your site, it is fairly restrained with ads. But some sites so overdue it, I just set it up to block all ads. Have had much fewer cases of Flash taking over in the background due to poorly done ads.

Never saw any banner until I turned off AdBlock. With AdBlock off, I refreshed 15 times and never saw the iMac banner. I never go to that particular link/page. LyleH

I use Adblock Plus (slow DSL) so I don't see it, but visit the page daily.

Okay, I turned off Adblock Plus and loaded the page, 18 times before the iMac ad showed up.

It loaded on my first view of that page and on my 4th reload.

I am the type who would install Adblock if I needed the bandwidth (like when I'm on dialup.)

However, I much prefer just preventing the various plugin media from automatically loading with tools like ClickToPlugin on Safari or Flashblock on FireFox. Is there an equivalent on Chrome?

same here. Adblock is awesome. i rarely see ads anywhere and am always shocked when i use someone else's computer and they don't use Adblock. i always forget how ugly the internet is without it.

Several times a month.

I liked it when there were OWC ads at the top of the forum page. Usually interesting stuff.
