Magnetic iPad 2 Cover on the New iPad?

Has anyone tried this? Or if you have one, would you please try it for me?

Just curious if there's a real difference or if I can just get one from the iPad 2.

According to several sources, the magnets have been moved on the new iPad so some covers will not activate the sleep feature, but the Apple covers still work just fine.

I just de-robed my husband's iPad 2 and put the cover onto my new iPad and it works just fine. it shut down just like it's supposed to.

Also I'm using the dictation feature to type this note to you. Seems to work fine too. (except I had to add the extra oh in that too in the last sentence)

Regarding dictation, what did you do about punctuation? I played a bit, but it seemed like all it did was write out each period, comma, etc

Dictation note from Apple

On an iPad that supports Dictation, you can dictate text instead of typing on the onscreen keyboard. For example, you can dictate a message in Mail or a note in Notes. To use Dictation, iPad must be connected to the Internet.

Turn on Dictation: Go to, Settings > General > Keyboard > Dictation.

Dictate text: From the onscreen keyboard, tap , then dictate. When you finish, tap Done. If you wish to add to an existing message, tap again.

Enter punctuation: Say the punctuation marks you wish to have inserted as they are needed. For example, dicate "Pick up the new iPad and suddenly, it’s clear" as "Pick up the new iPad and suddenly comma it’s clear period".

Note: Dictation is not available in all areas

Yup, this is how I do it on my iphone4s when dictating a text message. It works surprisingly well.
