GPS crazy omission. Correctable?

My new and I just updated via website Garmin GPS does not have a street in my town. The street name shows up in other Texas towns. I thought after the update it would be there. The street is as old as the town.

Can this be corrected by Garmin. Would it do any good to tell them (if I can)

Tell them. Yes. There's info on how to submit corrections here:

It'll probably only take a couple of years to get the change put on the map.

File a complaint

They probably won't know unless somebody tells them or Navteq.

Technically, it's not Garmin's fault. Garmin buys the maps from Navteq, and they are the ones with bad maps. smiling smiley

That's funny... because Google Earth has ADDED a street in my town... It's not there... no one ever planned it, built it, or has any idea where the name came from. It goes through a cow pasture.

Maybe the COWs elected to have a street in their pasture?

I got a confirmation email of my protesting the omission of Bois d'arc street from our town. Funny, they pronounce it Bow Dark here.
