I hate leaking jugs

A few months ago I discovered that a one gallos jug of distilled water got punctured somehow and leaked, very slowly, in a closet, damaging a shelf and water got even to the floor, plywood floor the water heater is sitting on. It's ironic that the water heater didn't leak, but the jug I put in there did. I can't easily replace the plywood, I would need to take the water heater out.

This morning I open the fridge to find a milk jug leaking, probably about 1/2 quart or maybe more, it's a mess. I did an initial clean up, but now I have to go and re-wipe everything. As soon as I finish the coffee. Not my ideal way to spend a Sunday morning.
