Geico's ad agency takes a good idea (and most of the Geico ads campaigns are good) and then run it into the ground until the original is forgotten and the viewer now hates the concept.

whee whee whee all the way home is great love that one
the pig on the zip line makes no sense IMO
all the others haven;t been terribly memorable
or I haven't associated geico with them like one is apparently supposed to with these ads

I like the mayhem commercials quite a bit. I think "I'm your car's blind spot" was my favorite.

The pig ones - hysterical. We've been known to do the same cry all the way down a ski slope smiling smiley

Although the Gecko doing country line dancing is pretty good...

Geico ads are cute when they are viewed for the first - or 10th - time. After seeing the same ad for 128 times, I grow tired of them (but can't get the name "Geico" out of my head, so I guess that's a good thing for Geico).

With a kid with ADHD who rides a bus every day with a bunch of little kids with ADHD, they started referring to the little kids as "Maxwells".

The pig commercials make me want to jam an ice pick in my ears.

The Mayhem commercials are hilarious. I forget what company they're for.

It's funny, as many as I have seen, and I have NEVER had the slightest urge to call them and get a quote. I read the reason they have blanketed the media is that almost every adult has to have insurance and it is a pretty big ticket item because you pay every month. Also, the demographic covers every adult demographic.

Some of the awful-ways-to-save-money ads have amused me: the "rescue panther" instead of a security system, or the trio of junior high cool girls instead of Weight Watchers/jenny Craig.
