Another hint of a "revolutionary" new Apple product
Posted by: Ammo

This story is nothing new, but I think it is kind of fun to speculate about what might make a new product so fundamentally different from what we already know. Although it only talks about one product, there will undoubtedly be many more "revolutionary" products to come.

What do you think the next generation of products wlll be and what will make them revolutionary?

For example, I think that before too long, Apple products will be able to automatically identify different individuals and interact with each appropriately. A toddler who picks up an iPad would have a different experience than her parent, a person with a disability vs non-disabled, etc.

Thank you for a thoughtful reply. smile smiley

(BTW, I agree, and this brings up a lot of interesting thoughts about UI).

Starck does great design work!

Beauty, eye, beholder; apply liberally.

This guy may be telling the truth, but I find it hard to believe any of the cues of that stuff would be even vaguely incorporated in an Apple product.

Maybe in some accessories designed to work with an Apple product? I just don't see Starck's stuff appealing to 90% of Apple's audience.

An Apple brand airplane. Beautifully designed.

Cockpit's instrument panel sleek and minimalist, has only three buttons:

"Take off"

"Fly"

"Land"

It was all I had time for.
Steve layed out where Apple has the home advantage when he introduced the 2010 Airs: "We've taken what we've learned from developing the iPhone and applied it to a laptop." I think it's a very safe bet that Apple will continue to wow us while leaving the rest of the pack trailing behind by being able to go lighter and thinner with more power and efficiency, even without any "revolutionary" step-off product.
But the topic here is "fundamentally different . . ."
You know . . . I don't know :-)
