I actually had to buy XP a few years ago for a very specific Windows only education program - now, I cannot find the disk! It is no longer installed on my Mac - moving around too much... If you find a cheap version, let me know.

Have you tried XP compatibility mode? It does not work well with games before about 2004 that are Win98 games hacked to run on XP.

Another option is try the demo of CrossOver from CodeWeavers.

in tha 510.

This place has it for $55 (computer specific, has an Apple Mac version?):
Ztek

They have a toll free number, so you could talk to them before purchasing...

Otherwise, a Google Shopping search shows as low as $69.

Buy, download, whatever but get an OEM copy of XP.

Then find a machine with an XP sticker on it - viola - legal copy of XP.

If by cheapo PC you mean something built in the last couple of years - XP won't install on it. XP doesn't have SATA drivers and you have to slipstream (ie build your own disk from an XP disk and the latest service pack) to get it to install.

If by cheapo, you mean old - then you might be OK.
