I'm hoping that Tim Cook announces a new OS along with the iPhone 5 on June 11, and this will add Siri at least the iPad 3s that have 4G - 3G.

Many of us who bought the new iPad were a little bit bit disappointed when it didn't include it, but it was no deal-breaker.

OK, we got sorta-Siri with the new microphone on the keyboard, and it really does work amazingly well (I still an a bit uncomfortable talking to my 'pad when there are other people around).

Am I crazy? Is there some technical reason Apple couldn't implement this?

Siri still, I believe, is technically a beta, Maybe it comes out of beta June 11 with a new OS and magically appears on at least the high-end iPads.

iSiriously think that it's not capable of the load. It's not really capable of the load from the iPhone 4s, much less iPads and iPhone 4sg's or whatever.

Generally, when I ask Siri to "call Mrs. Poochie at home" I get these reponses:

"Sorry, I'm having trouble communicating right now"
"Do you want me to call 'Michael Flaherty' home?"
"Do you want me to call [insert obscure name from my address book] home?"

I then give up and dial Mrs. Poochie's phone # manually.

Siri can't even open up apps on my phone.

All I use her for is to set reminders and to entertain friends who want to ask here where to hide a body.

I didn't even activate Siri on my iPhone 4S when I got and set it up...

I know there could be capacity issues with Apple's data center(s).

I was hoping some of the smart people who hang out here would know if there is a hardware limitation on the other end -- the 4G iPad -- that would keep Siri from working or working well.

I'm a crappy typist and I find that the speech-to-text on my iPad 3 works well, and is actually practical.
