In reference to this thread

Apple Genius gave me the dead 125GB Samsung SSD from my 2011 13" MBA. Is there an easy way for me try to connect this to my iMac to try to recover anything? I'm thinking along the lines of a USB adapter like the cheap ones I have for mounting old IDE drives. I've done some searching but am not clear enough on the connections...is this micro SATA? Or some proprietary connector? I don't need to boot from it, I'm not looking for speed... just the ability to mount it and attempt some recovery. The data isn't critical but there are a couple of things that would be nice to have.

Any help appreciated!

OWC makes an external case. AFAIK they are the only ones.

OWC and you can find some on eBay, but those probably come from Hong Kong.

I bought 2 of the Q models, one for our daughter. They work great for quick connections, and allow you to minimize the number of enclosures you need. We use zip-lock bags for the drives not in use.
