Paul J. Berloni, 49, of the 3300 block of Clark Road East in Sarasota, is charged with driving under the influence, child endangerment and driving with a suspended license. Sheriff's deputies say he has been convicted three times prior for DUI.

Belinda Berloni "was also intoxicated" and admitted "that she understood that it was dangerous to drag a child behind the vehicle but stated they were just having fun and had been doing this all day," an arrest report stated.

I'd hate to see what might have happened to that little girl if she had a get-off at 10mph. I wonder how fast Gramps would have reacted to that.

Paul Berloni refused to take a blood-alcohol test, reports said.

Well, he wasn't so drunk that he forgot what he learned from three priors.

I'd like to see them both do some real time in jail.Three to six months for her, and at least a year for Gramps.

But no. Because they were just havin' a little fun.

I'm wondering why Mom and Dad let these two babysit. I think I'd have those be supervised visits.
