I do like green walls

This one was put up about a year ago and the flowering plants are just coming into colour. It has grasses, ferns, true geraniums and a few other plants in there.



Closeup of the top right corner.



It had just started to pour with rain which explains the bedraggled look of the pedestrians.

The bedraggled looking pedestrians are walking on the wrong side of the sidewalk! :-)

I do like the idea of greenwalls, but am not really sure about their "green" credentials. The materials and resources used to build and maintain them most be close to making them non-viable in terms of 'greening up' a space. However, that said, they look great when done well, or done at all for that matter!

I have photos of me both atop and inside the Green Monster from my recent trip. I'll have to post one here.

That's an older photo - those Coke bottles are no longer there.

interior green walls make more sense than exterior green walls, but if the will is there to do exterior, it's better than having to

green roofs make a lot of sense, however, esp in a hot environment.
