With the latest OWC garage sale, I fell for their sucker price on a new battery for this MBP for $40.

Why is this problem? My intention was to upgrade to the latest i processor MBP later this year when the super cool retina display models arrive.

The sad reality is that with this terrific OWC SSD plus hard drive-in-optical scenario, this MBP is really more than fast enough for almost all of my daily tasks.

The poor runtime life from this older battery was the one area where I was suffering potential productivity issues.

But that's gone - poof! - in the blink of a button.

Curse you, OWC! You do TOO good a job keeping older Mac hardware running and running well!

Another happy camper here, finally took the plunge and installed their Mercury EXTREME Pro 6G SSD into my aging MacPro (early 2008 model 3.1). What an amazing transformation, I had been bemoaning Apples lack of new MacPro models, but now thanks to OWC I don't care how long they take as I already have a what feels like a new computer with the SSD drive. Thanks again Larry and Jamie for the ever improving line up of products that keep our Macs humming along.
