It's like a Popiel commercial with sexual innuendo.
Bleh.

No. They just started airing it in my location, I'd never seen it before.

Kinda amazed actually, that it made it past the network censors.

You do understand how TV stations/networks make their money, right?

I don't know about PeterB but, I don't live in a cave and, I've never seen this infomercial.

Cablevision sux, I can't get Verizon FIOS and, I have no interest in any satellite service so, I dropped paid TV about five years ago. I watch DVDs I get free through my local library so, I'm commercial free! Basically, whatever is on TV winds up available on DVD. When I did have Cablevision, I used a TiVo. The only thing I would watch live was the news so, waiting for the DVD is no big deal.

Yes, but advertising doesn't do much if it can't be aired. grinning smiley

Yep, it is for real. It is the un-tame version of the ad, some channels only show the tamer version. That replaces some of the more explicit innuendo.

Seemed pretty tame to me. But why would anyone make a commercial with such an annoying actor? Shades of the Dell Dude!

The Schticky itself looked like an interesting idea. But this video review says it's useless:

She's a lot sexier than the Schticky Schmuck, too.

People say the same high-minded things about negative political ads, but they work. Very well.

That's why they air them, and that's why they use this guy: he sells product.

This isn't his first "viral" hit.

I think it's great that the company doesn't take itself too seriously. And the ironic thing is, they're probably selling them by the boatload.

Quite. Watching the commercial definitely wanted to make me buy the product, even though (as the review from the hot girl pointed out) the product is probably actually pretty sucky, not schticky.

The gag reel that Bill posted was hilarious. I do love it when advertisers don't take themselves too seriously... those are the ads that we actually remember, and should win a Clio.

That is the first time I've ever seen that Vince Offer guy in action after hearing about him on internet forums for years.

He kind of does The Creep.
