Looking at the sun with a pinhole projection, it looks like at least half of the sun is covered now.

One of our kids got the special glasses and we took turns looking at it. Started as a "C", and then became more "U" shaped, or like a smiley face.

We had fullness here in North Tahoe/Truckee. It got dark, but not as dark as expected. A neighbor had mylar glasses that allowed you to see what the eclipse looked like.

We also found it easy to pick out by looking at a very filtered view through pine trees. Fog would have been good. There was a pretty serious buildup of thunderheads to the east that may have obscured the view in some Reno locations.

I'd like to link the photo I shot but the linking isn't working for me. I'm trying to post the image link into the tool above the message box. Any suggestions?

Cheers!

Okay, so I plug-in the url to the image in my Dropbox...and it still didn't insert the image like tahoedrew's image.

What am I missing?
