Levon would have been 72 today. The last ten years his Midnight Rambles at his barn/studio in Woodstock became legendary and we were lucky to have attended three. Tonight his barn will be a place of music again for the first time since his passing. The Levon Helm Band and other local musicians and friends will be playing in various configurations in celebration and remembrance. My husband and I will be in attendance and I could not be more excited. Take a load off Levon, your spirit will be felt in the barn once again!

Rock on, finn!! I left NY too long ago to hear the Rambles, but Woodstock/Catskills was always a favorite destination. Saw the remnants/individual members of The Band in NY several times. Later, I saw Robbie Robertson several times in SF and LA. I read about Levon's Barn last year and really wished to travel back and see a show. Another lesson in carpe diem.

Happy Birthday Levon. He clearly touch a lot of people's lives.
