Thanks! You too!

Be here now. Be someplace else later. Is that so complicated?
Zen is not easy. It takes effort to attain nothingness. And then what do you have? Bupkes.

Thanks to my father, who gave me a role model, and showed me that even role models can have flaws and work with them to improve. I still take great comfort that the last words I spoke in a phone conversation four days before he died were "I love you, Dad".

I had my last child about the same age my dad was when he had me. I often compare where I am at my age to where he was. I think my Dad was a better provider, he always worked hard at his trade and was very good at it....his early life was MUCH tougher than mine. On the other hand, I got home from work and spent an hour playing hide and go seek with my little one. I don't have many memories of my father PLAYING with me. Now that he's retired, he is quite the jokester, so I know that was always in him.
