Sorry if this is old news-- I just found it. Apparently the 5th season will be split into two sets of 8 episodes, the latter of which will air in 2013.

I saw the first season of this when it first aired and have been meaning to catch up for the last couple of years. I'm finally doing it during AMC's rebroadcast of the series's leading up to season five.

I'm almost up to the middle of season four. What a series. It's been years since a series has given me this many HOLY F**K moments. Since I've seen such a consistently well written show. I can't wait for July 15.

For those that may not know, there's a really interesting podcast, Breaking Bad Insider, that talks about each episode after it airs, and regularly features Breaking Bad creator/writer/director Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, director/producer Michelle MacLaren, editors Kelley Dixon and Scott MacDonald. And not just one of them as a guest. They show up three or four at once and chime in about the episode and the making of the episode. Good stuff.

I think this season is slightly less anticipated than last because of what happened at the end of last season and that seemed to take the heat off of Walter. Still, I wonder what will happen, as does everyone else. I imagine Hank is going to be the hero.

I found it incredibly "something", but I don't know what. IMHO, "good" would not be one of my choices. Different strokes… Give me a British mystery show any time. Or nearly anything British.
