To be fair, there are multiple 30 pin ports on the market and Apple never complained before. Besides Samsung, there's the PDMI standard, and the Sansa port. Probably others I'm forgetting.

I didn't notice this thread before posting in samintx's thread earlier today.

I have a hard time believing Apple is in the wrong on this one. What is the obvious now only seems that way once it's discovered. Creativiety is an 'NP-hard' problem (as they say in the world of mathmatics / computer science). Try to do a 'survey' of tablets before the iPad came out.

Samsung has gone much further than most companies in copying what Apple did:
