anyone here having this InDesign CS6 crash problem?

The crash occurs at the stage where Adobe InDesign would normally warn you about copyright issues relating to the inclusion of font files in the package. When InDesign would normally display a dialog box with the warning, you get this:

Sometimes the dialog button is visible. Sometimes the dialog box is entirely blank. In all cases, the application crashes within a couple of seconds of showing this dialog box, before you get a chance to click on anything.

I believe that, normally, this warning can be disabled, but of course in order to disable it you need to be able to display it once properly and click on the checkbox to disable it. No such luck here.

many reports of this at the Adobe forums, too.

I just tested this Id 6 install... I got the copyright prompt, but it had text and didn't crash.

Is there a specific font you're using that causes this?

decay, would it be helpful if I sent you a copy of the Id prefs with that dialog checked? I haven't used Id for anything on this machine before, so they should be 100% default prefs, other than that change.

Had a similar problem recently that turned out to be the Suitcase auto-activation plugin.

Removing the plugin took care of it.

i'll see if the client can turn off auto-activation or remove the plugin.

this is the situation:

"I tried packaging the same file on the old Mac desktop (Adobe InDesign CS6 and OS 10.6.8), and I didn't have any problems. It appears the problem lies within the new 10.7.4 operating system and CS6. From what I read in the forums, people are having trouble deleting pages in InDesign, packaging InDesign files ... any action that causes a warning dialog box to appear (as in the font dialog box where I am experiencing problems). In CS6 on the new MacBook, if I don't include the fonts while packaging the file, then everything works fine. The problem (and pain) with that is the fact that I have to find my fonts and copy them over to the packaged folder."
