I'm just finishing up last season, and will watch this season over the next week or two.
I don't know that I'll miss it or save the episodes. It's been fairly enjoyable, but there are some basic plot devices used too often making scenes not just predictable, but so much so that it takes me out of the Suspension of Disbelief bubble.
It's tough to be unique, especially after a few seasons. I understand that and usually a good cast will make it easy to accept cliché in stride.
But, as I say, I do enjoy it for the most part, and am glad to know that the show got a chance to have an ending rather than just disappear.
As unique series finales go, one of my very favorite was that of NYPD BLUE. Another was that for JAG. City Homicide's finale was very good, also.

I'm thinking that watching a series like this in succession, over a short time, really magnifies the issues that you experienced (takes me out of the suspension of disbelief bubble).
Watching it, week by week, allows for a greater amount of "forgiveness."

That's a good point, Gene. What you're saying is probably true more often than not, but if the show is really good then watching a bunch of episodes at a time can be really enjoyable due to the total immersion.
But while I love Eureka, I'd say it's probably not good enough for that effect, at least not in the later seasons.
