What do I have to do to avoid internet connection dance each time?

Not sure when this started but it was fairly recently-- may have been after changing my router security from WPA to WPA-2. Every time my mini (10.6.8) is restarted, and I think woken from sleep, and every time my MBA (10.7.3) is restated or wakes, I have to do a little dance of selecting the network, turning off Airport, turning it on again, selecting the network again... why is it not being remembered?

Pretty common symptom after changing encryption methods.

First thing I'd try would be removing the entry for that network password from the Keychain in the Keychain Access app and removing the saved network from list of preferred networks in the Advanced Network pref's in the System Preferences. Then restart and attempt to connect to the WiFi network again.

Thanks, didn't know where to look for that. That seems to have been the ticket on the MBA (password didn't change though.) Will try it on the Mini.
