DYIers, hobbyists, blue box builders, etc...?

I need a small, NO momentary pushbutton switch or two, very similar in aesthetics to and a little smaller than:

A RadioShack item

The switch must be small and inconspicuous. Water proof is highly desirable as it will be installed on my motorcycle. Illumination is not desired (unless ring lighted). High current capability is not necessary.

The above switch has a bezel diameter of .55" and an over all length of 1.04".

A smaller bezel diameter is the main criteria. All other specs close to the above are probably satisfactory.

I've checked RadioShack (which might do) and Allied Electronics.

Any other suggestions?

For waterproof you might try marine/boat supply places.

I just scanned 5 marine sites; clunky corroriosion resistant, not small waterproof/resistant.

So you want it to latch, handle 1 A, and be inconspicuous. Mount in plastic or metal?

[Mouser.com] is the best one I can find in my bookmarks that is still in business. [Halted.com] or [weirdstuff.com] might have it, but good luck finding something.

in tha 510.

Also check McMaster.com. An astonishing array of items, don't be fooled by the initial simplicity of the website.

second McMaster.com
also try allelectronics.com

Grainger's pricing on switches (and some other items) is outrageous!

(I think) I know what you're up to... but I would also recommend the mcmaster catalogue. the only other place would be awdirect, but I'm not sure they have much of a selection.

Make sure you leave enough room for the backblast when you fire your missiles !

Thanks for the info, all.

I'll check those sites, but it looks like RadioShack will have to suffice.

Latching is not required. Maybe that should have read N.O. momentary instead of NO momentary.

Small is the key.

I just need something in case I'm too close for missiles and have to switch to guns.

Just get a helmet from a Firefox, and use voice commands. Just don't forget to "speak" in Russian.
