I now take my iPad away with me rather than my elderly MacBook Pro these days but I have a definite problem with this forum. If I can find wifi then everything is fine but if wifi isn't available and I use G3 then everything seems OK except this forum which seems impossible to get, whirrs away and then after a while says it cannot connect. All my other favourite sites seem to work and I cannot recall any other site having a problem.

Any thoughts as to why?

Probably the DNS server that the 3G wireless service is using. I couldn't find any way to change to another DNS using wireless. You can change it on WIFI but not 3G - as far as I can tell.

If you try the numerical IP address of the forum, and it works, then it points to it being a DNS issue with your 3G service provider...
If that DOESN'T work... then... um... it's cursed. Or something.

The other thing I'd try is a different web browser on the iPad... and see if that works.

Thank you people, I will try the numerical address and a different browser but it might have to be tomorrow as cellular signal is very weak here at home. That's not the problem as I have had an excellent signal elsewhere but still no MacResource.
