I have 10.5.6 to sell, why does ebay pull auctions again?

I am about to list 10.5.6 disc in the original box on ebay. I recall people getting auctions pulled by ebay. What was the reason for this again? How do I avoid the same fate?

Hmmm...if you've got all the original packaging & inserts, I think you should be good - made around $150 on mine whenever I upgraded to 10.6.

In hindsight, I should have been buying up 10.6 at the time for future ebaying...

Well, it must be a retail version.
Can't sell academic software (which doesn't apply to OS X) and can't be an OEM copy. And obviously can't be a pirated copy or give any impression of it.

I don't have recent experience with this, but I seem to remember some nonsense about them wanting you to sell that kind of thing as a complete package with license agreement papers, and all that. That wasn't from eBay. That was just what "they" said.

Anyway, if you have the whole box with license agreement, might as well make that clear in the listing/photos.

Man, I only got $120 a couple of weeks back. I think I didn't think ahead about auction timing...

I listed my copies on a Friday evening with a reasonable "buy it now price". Saturday morning they were both sold and paid for.

I got the "auction pulled" notice on Monday morning, obviously too late. They (ebay) covered their @ss and I sold my copies of OSX. Win-win.

They don't tell you why! So you have no way to avoid it! Wa-hahaha!

The one time I tried to sell software on ebay was Photoshop CS3 in the box. Got yanked with no real explanation, but it happened exactly like evilrobot describes.

Would you get a good price for it on Amazon?

Plus, they probably didn't charge you a Final Value Fee.
