Our host has them for $89.00 but I would prefer to spend less than that on this 7 year old portable. Some on eBay are asking $17.00 and that just doesn't seem like a quality battery for that price.

I bought a battery for my MacBook from these guys at Amazon. It is for a newer MacBook than yours, but they have one for yours, too. Since it was fulfilled by Amazon, I felt OK buying it, and supposedly it carries a one year warranty. Since it only cost 1/4 what most other places were selling them for, I decided to give it a shot.

The MacBook recognized it and it is working well, so far. Here is a link.

I have an iBook g4 with 2 OEM batteries that is yours for shipping. The iBook HD is toast, so parts or repair on it. Batteries aren't new, but the price is rite.
