No Word Processing with ML?

That kinda sucks. Can't install my old version of MS Word, which is ok since its major bloatware. What to do? Should I spend another $20 on Pages? Can it open all the MS docs and send them out in MS readable format? Didn't they used to give you a word processing program as part of the OS? Am I asking too many questions? Should I just quit now?

There is always text-edit shareware. I'm sick of programs not working with new machines. That is one reason I'm opting for no more macs in my future. I just bought a couple of 15"ers for me and my daughter when she needs it...and to help with "new and improved".

Open Office is no worse than MS Office.

There is also GoogleDocs

I suggest you try NeoOffice (a more Mac-like version of OpenOffice) and Bean (a simpler word processor base on TextEdit. LibreOffice is a better version of OpenOffice.

It could also be because it's a PowerPC only version (like Office 2004 or earlier), since no specifics were given about the version of Word/Office or why it can't install, it's all speculation.

Pages is an excellent program. It's worth the $20 for good support.

Stand in this line for complaints. Seriously. Make a clear concise case. If enough do this, we might get some changes.
