I'm mostly interested in the PDF Editor PRO app.

I don't know whether any of the other apps would do me any good, but I'd appreciate your comments on the PDF Editor PRO.

It appears to have some features that I might use and it seems like a great buy at $39.

Are any of you using this app? How well does it work, especially the OCR feature?

I have never heard of any of those apps. "Top"?

To put things in perspective, iClip 5 has 52,745 downloads from MacUpdate. Carbon Copy Cloner has 507,727.

OCR is a fantastic thing to have
I have Smile's PDFpen

The OCR for that program on multiple pages is iffy
best done on a single page.

I have Acrobat at work and that program's OCR seems more
robust than PDFpen

If another OCR from a different program can supplement
or replace Acrobat functionality that is a good thing

I haven't tested it yet, but a $5/month (or $45/year) Evernote subscription gets you OCR on all PDFs you load there...

PLUS, all the other amazing features of Evernote.

I've been a user for about 2 years, a heavy user starting 8 months ago with their new webclipper and skitch capabilities and just started paying the monthly fee for two reasons: shared notes that others can edit and the PDF OCR capability.
