Preview of the Independent Star Trek's Continuing Mission!

I've watched and enjoyed this show, the writing has been good, the acting atrocious and the effects ok, but getting steadily better!

Also another in the works!

The first Enterprise is rendered by Darren Dochterman, who has worked on, among others, The Directors Edition of Star Trek the Motion Picture.

The 2nd Enterprise ( a really beautiful rendition) is by Gabriel Koerner, of BSG.

It looks great. They've done a great job of emulating the feel and lighting of the sets and costumes but they need to take the characters in a direction that the actors are more comfortable with, instead of trying to emulate the originals from the '60s. Emulate the character, not the actor.

Bad actors emulating 45-year-old so-so acting style will win over few fans.

But Crewman Johnson wasn't mentioned in the memorial service...

This is precisely my problem with this. But why even bother to recycle the same one-dimensional characters? If you're going to be married to the TOS time frame, there are many other ships and crews to follow.

My biggest problem though-- the wrinkly tunics.
