Need help adjusting blade on Murray Edger

Where on this edger,can I adjust the blade so the angle is straight up and down. Having trouble edging and hitting too much concrete edging

Does that red bar that runs vertically have a side to side toothed adjustment on it at the top? My McLean edger has a red toothed adjustment down near the blade. I don't see something like that on yours.

One of the two places should allow you to adjust the head angle.

I think that top/left one is a grease zerk



Best I can tell from the photos is that it might possibly be the bolt on the end of the compression spring, but hard to tell without more info. My $.02

After another looks still not sure. That spring is probably a helper / lift spring - so I guess I would advise against unbolting unless I knew for sure. Might have a flying spring if done incorrectly.

Agreed on all parts. LOL. Spring clamp maybe. More than likely the bolt on the end would have to be loosened and then you would be able to move the head. Can't really be sure because the pictures don't show a side view. The lower bolt might just be the retaining bolt to hold the whole arm assembly.

Edit: If I had it in front of me I would be able to adjust it. smiling smiley
