I should give lessons on how to derail a thread.

The so called "Northridge" earthquake actually was centered in Reseda, about a quarter mile from what use to be home. Intersection of Saticoy and Tampa to be precise and the area of Chatsworth we now call home is actually about a 100 feet into Ventura County but nonetheless Chatsworth. And Chatsworth is still the porn capital of the US.

I'm thinking that it may be time for the next MR SoCal Luncheon. We certainly have a lot of SoCal members.

What do you think?

Worked the second time for me. Wonder if I got the security code wrong the first time? It was hard to distinguish a bent "D" from a bent "O".

More or less in order of places lived, minus one or two I can't mention, and perhaps a temporary flop here and there.

The Taoist Zhuangzi said, "Good order results spontaneously when things are let alone".
The sociologist, and historian, Adam Ferguson described the phenomenon of spontaneous order in society as the "result of human action, but not the execution of any human design".

It must be after I had moved out of the 'hood in 1990.

Many years ago on active duty I was asked where I wanted to be stationed. For some reason, long forgotten, I said: "Anywhere but Dayton, Ohio". I've lived in Delaware, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Virginia, Nebraska and Ohio. Wanna guess where I ended up?

My fourth generation German butcher in Chatsworth tried to recruit me into the porn industry when I worked in Hollywood. He grew up with many people who made boatloads of money and needed film industry talent. FYI, I declined.

When you're right you are right grinning smiley My current city Mayor is hard at work promoting Pasadena as a bike friendly city in San Gabriel Valley. So far only 10 miles radius on the west side of Pasadena I consider a bike friendly spot.

Currently house-sitting in Huntington Beach (for a few more days), then onward to Green Valley, AZ south of Tucson.

After thirty plus years in Long Beach, CA. via Chicago and the past three summers in Yellowstone Park, WY.
