When do you think the Mac Mini will be refreshed?

If memory serves me right, the last time the Mac Mini was updated was around June 2012. It should be due, right?

....Right after you buy one.

I would think October or so with the new HasWell chip.

Due soon. If the Mac Pro pattern holds you can expect a refresh in 2018.

Historically the mini gets an update between 0 and 28 weeks after the MacBook Pro gets updated. The expected new specs are going to be a Haswell CPU and the new Thunderbolt "2" chip.

Haswell is really only better for battery life, IIRC. HD5000, in certain flavors, is a LOT better.

I asked that a week or two ago. I too wish I knew, since I really need to upgrade my old iMac.
I don't necessarily need the newest one, but I would like to save a little on the old one, after the new one is introduced.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan
