Perhaps not clever and "viral bait", but a brave obituary.

She had a 9-year-old child - that's the true victim.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands...
- For example, if they are wrapped around your throat she's probably slightly upset.

RAPID CITY | Erin Wagman, also known as Erin Borgmann, died of acute alcohol poisoning on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, in Rapid City. She was 42-years-old. She died alone.

For those who want a clue before clicking blindly.

Brave and sad.

It would be nice if more people would honor their loved one in the same manner.

Some of the viral obits I've seen seem to be nothing more than, "Hey, look at me! Aren't I clever?"

This one isn't like that. I appreciate it's honesty, and I think it is respectful of her.

So sad. I admire the family for facing the cause of her death in this way. People don't shy away from discussing cancer or ALS or other diseases in obituaries and they are brave for discussing her disease in the same way.

Their action, among other things, make the loss more profound and does honor her, though that might not seem obvious.

Even in contemporary times alcoholism is still seen by many as a choice and not a disease.

That's sadder still.

Yep. But it does seem obvious...that the intent was to honor her...albeit in a roundabout way. Glad I read this. Thanks for posting the link, beagledave.
