PC suggestions

My mom just emailed me to let me know her small non-profit has $800 to spend on new computers. Woohoo!

So she of course, asked me. They need to be PCs so I guess that will make it easier as far as how cheap they are. But she'd really like to get two if possible. They do not have to be laptops so I was thinking that might save some too? Also, we're talking about PCs that will be running the MS Office suite at the most.

Any suggestions?

Dell refurb laptops plus Libre Office, in place of M$ Office, would work and be inexpensive.

Lenovo has some nice deals on the m93p. Sometimes can be had refurbed under $500. Sometimes even with an SSD boot and 8GB RAM. These are small systems that can mount to the back of the display if necessary. Some have DVD drive accessories. Some don't. That's how the Lenovo clearance section works. Constantly fluctuating stock and price. Think the warranty is one year on site, which is always nice.

Dell desktops are even cheaper than laptops. You can also get used off-lease business computers from places like PC Exchange for under $400: [www.pcexchange.com] They offer a one-year warranty.
