Is there an alternative to email groups for non techies?

The email group is not working well well for this group of older past middle age persons. Half has no smartphones, and if they did, it may not help much?!?

One of them still doesn't know the difference between texting and emailing, even after much education.

Maybe we should go back to the old Phone Tree? They're too far apart to gather at McDonalds Starbucks all the time. Am I overlooking some solutions?

Buck, unfortunately it's not clear what you're referring to by "e-mail group." Is this a hosted listserv like Yahoogroups or Google Groups? What are you using it for- discussing a special interest, coordinating events, purely social?

Seems like a computer is the only way to go. Set up the email for this person so it gets auto-retrieved frequently. Teach them how to reply and how to hit send. A flip phone with text capabilities would work.

Maybe she just likes having her hand held! emoticon_love
