Used to love that screen saver module. It ran great under OS 7.

There was a hack to get it running as a screensaver under OS X if you have Classic.

Intel Macs = no Classic = No Lunatic Fringe.

But Maelstrom will probably run.

Gotta say, I liked LF even more than Maelstrom. Loved the sound effects: went resource diving for a bunch of 'em to use as system beeps and all that.

Another game written by the same guy who wrote LF, Ben Haller, was Solarian II. After being MIA for years and years, he went and ported it to Mac OS X a couple of years back. One of my favorite games for the original Mac IIs back in 89-90.

I used to love telling friends to type in "LASER" to get a secret laser beam upgrade... Then watch their shocked horror when their ship disintegrated.

"Gee, you must have mis-typed it."

So they'd try again... and again... insisting they didn't, until their game was over and it was my turn to play!
