Recommend inexpensive Bluetooth Transmitter?

Treadmills at my gym have 3.5mm audio jacks that allow you to select a sound channel for any of the video streams in the gym while working out. I'm constantly losing my earbuds or yankng the cord out while running on the treadmill. I'd like to try Bluetooth headphones paired with a transmitter plugged into the treadmill. I see devices ranging from $9.99 to nearly $100. Anyone have recommendations for one on the low end that works and is reliable? Alternately can I take the treadmill output, feed it into my iphone and use it as the transmitter? TIA.

Don't have a recommendation, but that's a good idea.

A simple 3.5mm extension cord wouldn't solve the problem? A spring clip(s) could help secure the cord to clothing and leave the necessary slack.

I don't believe that's possible.

An extension cable would probably be the easiest answer. I'd probably walk off after a workout and leave the BT dongle in the treadmill.

I get the concept since I hate hanging cords too. I have this one. I haven't used it enough to really recommend it, but it does seem to work and would do what you want. I wanted to try both the transmit and receive function, which is how I landed on this one. One use is hooked up to my projector to send sound to a bluetooth speaker/soundbar. The description says it can't be used while charging, and I don't remember reading that part, so i think they added that point later.

The real question though is how long until you forget and leave it? maybe attach it to your gym keys in some way?
