Mount Mitchell digs out from record 66 inches of snow. It broke the old '93 Super Storm record.

I was underwhelmed here in Greensboro. They forecast a LOT more than we got.

I saw the report but the only photo was a stock photo. Would have been cool to see a picture after the storm.

Couple inches snow before dawn Friday followed by sleet the rest of the day.

Saturday morning it was like walking through sand, if said sand was composed of tiny pellets of ice.

12" here in Brevard, NC. I'm still digging out my long, steep driveway (330' long) with the help of some sun.

I think it is a picture of the storm aftermath which was sold as stock to media outlets.

I agree.

I've been to the top of Mt. Mitchell several times. Was surprised to find a little snow on the north side of
some trees and structures in early Sept. I asked the Park Ranger and he said in the past at some point
there's been snow up there every month of the year. Not as extreme a Mt. Washington but the place has
a different feel to it.

I tried to find some actual photos but it's probably closed down tight.

Here's a link to the Mt. There's only 4 months out of the year that doesn't have a snowfall average.
