Craigslist find of the week

I'm pretty sure we have a furniture problem in our house. Found this teak, floating top desk, by Peter Lovig Nielsen for $85. It's in good shape, with a few crayon markings on the bottom of the drawers. A little 0000 and some teak oil will have it shining in no time.

When are you going to finish the tile?

Nice. $85 barely gets you an IKEA particle board desk. Was it advertised as a "Peter Lovig Nielsen" desk? Or old brown desk for sale.

You guys are all funny and observant -

S-T - your lens is in transit. Thassa K85/1.8. The CDs emerged from the depths of a drawer - though I did have reason to burn a disc last month for the first time in years.

3D - advertised as beautiful wood desk with teak veneer. A bit of searching for hidden drawers turned up the real deal.

Whiip- the tile has been since 09 - maybe it's time.

Z, I know the zoom lens is on the way, it was a joke. or maybe you took the picture before mailing the lens. Anyway, that doesn't look like a zoom.

Why is it called a floating desk? it seems to have only 2 lens, I guess it is anchored to the wall in the back? Did it come with the chair? seem to match the color, so I guess they were a set. How is the top of the chair, in good shape?

what do you mean "A bit of searching for hidden drawers"? did they try to sell the desk without drawers?

What is on top of "... & romantic"? what is the blue apparatus under the desk? how long till little Z adds her signature scratches to this beautiful desk? smiling smiley

Looks like the lens should show up on Monday - currently hanging out in Nashua, NH.

Here is an identical desk with some better pics of the features - [www.chairish.com]

Here's one of the hiding drawers -

The seat is actually from Target, though yes, a decent match.

The pic is a partial of www.patrioticandromantic.com - our wedding blog and most recently neglected general family goings on blog.

Z got an upgrade in her room and received the Heywood Wakefield Trimline teachers desk for her work in her room with the latest desk coming home. The Trimline desk lived a hard life in a school environment - so it should hold up to any abuse that Zelda metes out.

(an older pic of the desk from shortly after purchase in 2007)

Gratuitous Z pic - Zelda wanted her hair straightened yesterday - so here's the end result (along with our new pup, Kiska):

That hidden drawer is cool, so basically the whole desk is one giant drawer, did I get that right?
