What OS do you have running on the Mac computer you use the most?

I'm still on 10.8.5 and starting to run into issues with lack of support for some of the newer updates on software... Didn't get 10.9 and/or 10.10 when I should have and the only available path is 10.11...

10.9.5, for another few days... then 10.11 with new iMac. Wish it would have run 10.9, but no go.

have thought about putting Sierra on a 120 GB SSD external I have here, but not sure what the point might be unless I go all in with it.

The Photos app and iCloud Photo Library are enough of a reason to be on (at least) Yosemite. I'm certified in Aperture... great app, but I really don't miss it. Photos' capabilities in Sierra are even more interesting.

Because of doing I.T. work I feel obliged to keep current, but I otherwise haven't gotten much out of the last couple major revisions.

I run El Capitan on my new Mini and Mavericks on my hackintosh. No issues with either, but prefer the 3D appearance of windows, buttons, etc. in Mavericks to the flat, 2D appearance in El Capitan.

I have Mavs, Snow Leopard and Yosemite installed on my Mac Pro. I've played with El Cap on a small external drive. I need to stick with 10.9 as long as possible because of some of the software I want to keep using. I got GoLive working in my SL Server VM last week, so I can continue to do an occasional update to our non-profit's website. If I need to format a drive, I boot into Snow Leopard.

2 on Sierra beta, 1 on El Cap (has Mav on other partition), and 1 on Yosemite (wife's). I have bootable externals for each OS back to 10.6.8, but I don't keep them current with Docs, Pix, and Music. I do keep the El Cap current in case Sierra acts wonky on either Mac.

I voted El Cap, but I suppose my work machine is the main machine I use.

At Home on a Mini 10.11.X, it has been running pretty well. Some times it won't go into the screen saver/sleep mode and once in a while it losses the WiFi connection. I went about a month of have to reconnect the Wifi or even restart to get a Wifi connection. Then suddenly everything is fine.

At Work 10.6.x on a Power Mac. I will need new hardware to upgrade. Fortunately, most of my software still works, but getting to some websites is getting to be a challenge.

I sort-of know that feeling...the hardest part was finding a compatible browser to use, so had to step it up to System 7...

I am running 10.9 on my iMac which I consider my main system. For my portable I use a 2012 MBP that I purchased as a refurb last Fall. It had 10.10 installed, and I kept it at that to get used to the changes between Mavericks and Yosemite as well as which software would not work with Yosemite. I may have to add a VM of 10.9 to my iMac before upgrading to Yosemite or later. It already has a 10.6 Server VM for older software that required Rosetta.

I have a 2008 Black MacBook that still is usable and runs 10.6.8, but replaced it for regular use with the MBP. In addition I have a Power Mac G4 running 10.4 that I have used as a fileserver, access point to older SCSI based peripherals and for older software. It is currently shutdown as it needs a fan replaced.

Main computer MBP (Mid 2012 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7) --10.11.5 El Cap.

G5 iMac 10.5 (Leopard) Wife hates computers, but she uses it for FB and email. Think it has the capacitor problem and never got in on any recall.

G4 MDD 10.4 (Tiger) wind tunnel has some really old software I occasionally use. Still sold as a rock and was my main workhorse in it's day.

Steve

Something is off with this configuration, 10.6.x (Snowleopard) required an Intel Mac. Was the OS possibly 10.5 (last for PowerPC), or is the hardware actually a MacPro instead of a PowerMac?

Yosemite. afraid to move to El Cap as i have one program that may not play nice with it. developer has announced that for right now he doesn't have the time to resolve issues with later MacOS's and i cannot find another program that does what this does as well.

10.9.5 only because it is a Hack and installing anything newer is more of a hassle than benefits me...

Upgraded to 10.9.5 on all Macs.

Left 10.6.8 on a small partition on my portable.

Easy & quick to reboot with the SSD.

Still using 10.6.8 most days.
