WOW - very nice movie
and all those mostly B actors did a great job, IMO

is it okay to say I cried before realizing she put blanks in it? I did.

Okay, okay. I'm a p-y.

That, in my mind, was such an excellent scene. Very powerful. I've had loved ones killed by firearms, and I've had loved ones die/killed about the same age as that little girl, too.

I felt their grief in that instant. But, touche, they tricked me. smiling smiley

Yeah, it was a pretty good movie. I actually guessed that they were blanks by the color of the box. It was pretty well acted too. And I was just kidding (of course) in my message above.

Soft core porn.

James Spader is a B-actor? Yeah, I guess so.

But Holly Hunter was A-list when she did it.

Are you talking bout the recent movie about racial issues or the David Cronenberg "sex" movie?

B-Actor isn't really the right term, because there's also the term "B-Movie", which usually refers to a movie of lesser "quality" and lower budget, often something like a horror/monster movie or something sci-fi.

It comes from the time when "double features" were common. The B-Movie was the lesser of two movies that you'd pay to go see. Like you'd go to see The Godfather, and Freebie and the Bean would be the second feature.

One way to tell how big a star is is where their names are in the opening credits. If they come first, before EVERYTHING else, including the title, then they're big.

For future reference.

Uh, the recent Crash, with Matt Dillon, who is NOT an A list actor by any stretch.

Malo- don't correct me on my speech. you have been IGNORED.

Sorry, but I don't fall in line with any spoiler social decree anywhere.

Freebie and the Bean was a great movie, one of my favourites. Great car chase with an interesting ending...no spoiler for those who haven't seen it.

"put the blanks in"

Hey, some of us haven't seen it. How about the words **POSSIBLE SPOILERS** in the subject line, eh?

Great Movie, I saw the Preview Screening before it was released and posted about it on the other forum. Makes you take a deep look at yourself and the way you view others.

As far as B-Actors, many of those Actors (mainly the Black ones) are doing well after that flick and advancing their career because of that movie.

Don Cheadle .... Det. Graham Waters .........(Got big Props last year)
Matt Dillon .... Sgt. Jack Ryan ...................(Been around for a while)
Sandra Bullock .... Jean Cabot ........................(Life after the Speed Movies, still sexy!)
Brendan Fraser .... Dist. Atty. Rick Cabot ..(Remember him from some of the Comedies?)
Ludacris .... Anthony (as Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges).. (Hustle & Flow, good movie)
Terrence Howard .... Cameron Thayer..(Hustle & Flow, Is where Jamie Fox was years ago)
Larenz Tate .... Peter Waters (Been around for a while)

Worst movie of 2005 IMHO. When the stupid little girl almost got shot I had to strongly resist bursting out laughing. It was the most contrived, cliched, ridiculous "message movie" I have seen in a long time. Acting was good though. Skip it.

Don Cheadle had been around for years and is without question one of America's finest actors; he and Philip Seymour Hoffman are my two picks for best American actors currently working. These two appear together in PTA's Boogie Nights; other excellent movies that Cheadle has appeared in are Soderbergh's Out of Sight and Traffic and 2004's Hotel Rwanda.

It is what it is.
