yes, there are many programs out there.

But first, use Apple Disk Utility to make an IMAGE of that USB stick so you have a backup if something goes wrong. yes, the image will contain the deleted files, then you can use one of these programs to recover either from the real USB stick or from the mounted image.

File Juicer worked for me on an SD Card.

I have used Photo Rescue which is made by the same folks that made Data Rescue

They sold it to Prosoft but the deal is the same. You can download a demo
and see if it will recover your files. If it can you can buy the key (serial number)
that will then let you save them.

You only pay if it works. It's $99 so it depend on the value of the data.
In my case $99 was peanuts compared to the cost of a re-shoot

I had one issue when I bought it - the version I got was not compatible
and I emailed tech support and had an answer and solution in 15 minutes.

The freeware Exiff Untrasher worked fine for me with corrupted memory sticks.

I second Photo Rescue (I have it too)...works great...for photo recovery; however, I think he is needing something for a USB drive (non-photo files).

Data Rescue Pro...latest Tech Tools...Active-Undelete (Windows)...Easy Recovery Professional (Windows)...

...many more good ones to choose from. See if your 'memory stick' manufacturer has a custom application for their own products.
