How many White Castle "sliders" could you eat?

They did this down the hall today. A pair of crave cases a crave sack, 230 total burgers.
One guy looked sick after a dozen.

Never had one... Nearest White Castle is a long way East of here...
But based on pictures, not sure why I'd want more than 4-5.

If I'm ever on a road trip somewhere they have one, I'll give 'em a shot.

Ate them by the sackful in my youth, but I wouldn't touch them now.

no retail fast food store here
I may have seen the frozen ones in a grocery store once.
frozen already cooked "ready to eat" burgers really aren't that appealing to me.

Wish there was a White Castle or Krystal around here. Nearest one is hours away in Memphis, TN.

I tried the frozen ones. Pretty much inedible. NO WC's in my neck of the woods. Probably a 100 mile drive, and that alone makes me want to eat my own grilled burger.

Almost had some Tuesday night. Was undecided at about 1am in the morning,

Right turn was White Castle - left turn was Coney Island cheeseburger with Chili Fries.

Made the left....

I usually eat about 6 or so but could easily do 10 or 12 without effort if in the mood.

Weird things is I HATE their ketchup/mustard mixture = gotta do no mustard, extra onion, add ketchup.

That mustard mix just overpowers the whole sandwich - ugh!

Get 'em plain, no onions (allergic), BYO BBQ sauce, usually a six pack and a third or half, donate the other half+ pack to another hungry hombre. In the old days, could probably have powered down more, but never had the desire to emulate Harold & Kumar, even though it was long before they were Harold & Kumar... more like in the Harold and Maude days (but onions were OK back then).

If they're even remotely like the frozen ones, and for a one off I went into full trencherman mode, 20+ would be in the realm of the possible.

Down my way, it was Royal Castle growing up, and then Krystals took over when I was in college. They were 25¢ each - I'd wolf down 16-20 after chemically preparing myself.

Today they are closer to 75¢, if I want bad tasting burgers, I'll just get a full size one off a dollar menu.

I have vague memories of being in a WC once.

Passed a Krystals in Tennessee this weekend.

Here's the thing about WC: The burgers are not filling. You can probably toss down at least twice as many as you think and still have room for more.

But so much as a single one of them is likely to cause some... distress a short time later.

I ate there with my brother a couple of years ago. Had been a long time since we went, so we were nostalgic and forgot about the consequences. After four days of suffering, nether of us is inclined to go back.
